The program will run in English.
At the end of the program the participation certificate will be awarded by the “Vasile Goldis” West University of Arad. The program is also accredited by the Association of Romanian Physicians (Colegiul Medicilor din Romania) and The Order of General Practitioners, Midwives and Nurses in Romania (Ordinul Asistenţilor Medicali Generalişti,Moaşelor şi Asistenţilor Medicali din România) with CME (Continuing Medical Education) credits.
Insurance from 50 000 USD/EURO to 100 000 USD/EURO must be arranged by the participants themselves and must cover illness, accidents, medical repatriation, theft or loss of luggage, etc.
For your saftey we advise and encourage you to hold a liability insurance policy — including medical professional insurance (medical malpractice insurance), bodily injury, property damage, personal injury, etc. — during the program.
Any foreign visitors wishing to enter Romania must have a valid passport and obtain a Romanian visa before coming. However, people of EEA, EU and other countries who want to visit Romania temporarily are permitted to enter without a visa according to visa-exemption agreements. For people who need visa we provide documents to apply for visa at the Romanian Embassy or Consulates.
We do not provide housing but we can provide information about accommodation.
Please do not to purchase airfare or other travel tickets until you receive the acceptance letter in the program. This is the only official confirmation of your acceptance in the program. Emails from us prior to receiving the acceptance letter are simply to facilitate the application process are not official confirmations.
Our currency is LEU. 1 USD = aprox. 4.30 LEI, 1 EUR = aprox. 4.80 LEI
Romania has a temperate climate, similar to the northeastern United States, with four distinct seasons.

Spring is pleasant with cool mornings and nights and warm days.

Summer is quite warm, with extended sunny days

Autumn is dry and cool, with fields and trees producing colorful foliage, much like New England.

Winters can be cold, especially in the mountains. While not the rule, abundant snowfalls may occur throughout the country, from December to mid-March.

There are significant regional differences of the climate in different regions of Romania.

Romanian, but many people speak English, French or German.
Intensive Romanian courses can be provided up on request.
